1. What are the booking procedures with Mauritius Car Rental?
Booking a car with us is very simple. Firstly, you need to select the dates you want to reserve a car, then you select the pickup and drop off locations. You choose the car category and gear transmission you prefer. In addition, you can select options available. Once done, you select book now. On the following page you will find the payment options, insurance options and the basic personal details that you need to fill in. Once the required personal information is filled up together with payment options selected, you confirm the booking. You will be notified accordingly through your email provided a booking confirmation with invoice.

2. Is it mandatory to make payment online?
We always request our customers to make atleast one day payment online for the booking made. We always give priority to customers who have already made a payment reservation.

3. How can I pay?
We have different payment methods. For online booking you may pay through bank transfer, credit card or paypal. We also accept most currencies based on the daily bank rates.

4. Do we need to make a deposit for the car hired?
You are not required to make a deposit when picking up car. But in case of an accident where you are at fault, the compulsory excess need to be paid. The excess amount depends on the category of car selected which will be informed to you upon booking confirmation.

5. What are the penalties for booking cancellation?
Any cancellation 48 hours before your rental period can be done freely without any penalty fee. If you cancel after that period or returning the car before the end of the rental period, 25% of the remaining rental will be charged.

6. What are the procedures if I met with an accident with the rented car?
In case of an accident you need to call on the hotline +23052574888 which available on a 24 hour basis and you will be advised on actions to be taken accordingly. A replacement car will be provided if the rented car is not road worthy or is liable to cause additional damages.

7. What happen if there is a breakdown with the rented car?
Though all our cars are rather new and very well maintained, yet the possibility of breakdown cannot be completely eliminated. Nevertheless we are prepared for such circumstances, and we will provide you with the necessary assistance and a replacement car will be provided to you at the earliest.

8. What does the insurance cover?
All our cars have a fully comprehensive cover, where we have denoted it as Silver cover. In case of an accident where you are at fault, an excess amount will need to be paid ( excess amount will depend on the category of car you rented). We have also Gold and Platinum cover where excess amount is partially or fully covered.

9. Is there any minimum number of days I need to rent a car?
You can rent a car for a minimum of 3 days.

10. Is there any cost for delivery and pickup of car?
We offer a free delivery and pickup throughout the island for a minimum of 5 day rental.

11. Do I need an international driving license to drive a car in Mauritius?
You can drive with the national driving license provided by the authority of your country.

12. Is it Safe to book online with Mauritius Car Rental?
